We are now accepting requests for funding for projects directly connected with breast cancer research. To be qualified for consideration you must meet our grant requirements listed below:
Eligibility
The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation supports organizations involved in breast cancer research with the highest percentage of dollars spent on actual research. Organizations applying for funds from the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation are required to:
- Provide proof of 501(c)(3) status
- Engage in breast cancer research
- Have no negative regulatory/criminal activity/history
- Not be otherwise sufficiently funded
- Spend no more than 20% in administrative costs
- Provide other reasonably required information
Grant Applications
Completed grant applications should be submitted to the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation for review by December 1, 2020. Applications are to be submitted via email to grant@pinkpumpkinpatch.org. If a program’s application is approved, based on the eligibility requirements listed below, that program’s application is sent to the grant application committee for final review. Organizations interested in being considered are required to comply with the following process:
Process
Once all applications have been received by the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation and the grant application committee, the following decision process will be followed:
- Grant application committee will establish eligibility and recommend recipients
- Board selects recipients and determine funds allocation among recipients
- Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation will directly notify recipients as well as post on the foundation website and issue a press release
Amount of Funds
The amount of funds that will be granted to the approved applicant will be determined by the total amount collected from Colorado Seeds, Inc. and the growers at the end of the season. Allocation of funds is determined in the board’s discretion based on the requests outlined in the applications reviewed by the board, the total funds available, and the number of applicants.
Distribution of Funds
After recipients are notified, funds will be distributed via check in a single installment.
Discretion
The board reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to make all determinations related to the grant of funds by the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation, including recipient eligibility, fund allocation, distribution and other matters. The board may modify, amend or otherwise alter or remove all related requirements, procedures and guidance. Receipt of an application by the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation does not constitute or create any obligation on the part of the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation, the board, or any related entity, representative or individual to any applicant, and submission of an application, participation in the application process, and receipt and use of funds constitutes agreement by, and is condition upon, release and waiver by applicants and recipients of any claims against the Pink Patch Foundation, the board or any related entity, representative or individual.
The Foundation
The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation was created to aid in the fight against breast cancer. The foundation is comprised of America’s leading pumpkin growers, who have committed to donating a share of proceeds from every pink pumpkin sold to organizations dedicated to breast cancer research. The foundation will oversee funding and targets organizations dedicated to breast cancer research activities.
