LINCOLN —

On Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., Gail’s Pumpkin Patch and Logan County Department of Public Health, Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program will cosponsor “Paint the Patch Pink” at Gail’s Pumpkin Patch, east of Lincoln on Highway 10 at 1709 2000th Ave, Beason. The event is being held to increase breast cancer awareness. A variety of activities are planned including:

■ Breast cancer education and information

■ Special pumpkin carving display by Renee Hubal

■ Pumpkin painting and stamping

■ A display of pink and white pumpkins in the shape of a breast cancer ribbon

■ Silent auction with partial proceeds going to the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation. A foundation whose funds go to reputable organizations with the highest percentage of dollars spent on research.
