About the Foundation
Our Purpose
The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation’s purpose is to unite in the fight against breast cancer with a Porcelain Doll F1 pink pumpkin on every porch and Porcelain Princess F1 on every table. You can help by spreading the word and placing a pink pumpkin on your porch this fall. Pink is in – are you?
Donation Process
Colorado Seeds Inc., Breeder of Porcelain Doll F1 and Porcelain Princess F1 Pink Pumpkins pledges to donate $10 to the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation for every 1,000 seeds sold. U.S. Pumpkin Growers are also encouraged to donate .25 per pink pumpkin sold/grown to the foundation. The foundation will direct the funding to charitable organizations focused on breast cancer research.
The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation is not directly associated with any breast cancer organization and will be accepting requests for funding from research organizations. The foundation will be vetting all proposals for funding for financial transparency, low administrative costs and nature of research.
Financials
The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation will be focusing donations directly to organizations conducting breast cancer research and the first donations were granted in December 2012. The goal of the foundation is to get the highest percentage of funds raised directly to the search for a cure.
To that end we plan to keep our administrative costs below ten percent and did not have any paid employees during the first year, including the board of directors.
All financials are fully transparent and will be public when available.
